How To Purchase Your Domain Name |
PURCHASING AND TRANSFERRING A DOMAIN NAME OVERVIEW Following is basic information about the purchase and transfer experience here at Domainami. Prior to making an offer or purchase, please read all information below, in addition to that provided about your chosen domain name. If you have any questions about this process, please email us. A domain name purchase covers the domain name only, unless otherwise indicated. Most of our less expensive domain names can be purchased with our PayPal buy-it-now links. To provide maximum protection to our customers, our more expensive domain name sales are processed by escrow company only. Domain name offers can be submitted using the forms provided. An offer or counter-offer is only valid for 7 days, and Domainami.com reserves the right to reject any offer. We are only able to respond to serious offers; if you have not received an offer response within 7 business days, it was probably well below our minimum. After payment for a domain name has been received, we will send the buyer an email requesting their registrar account information. In order to guarantee timely transfer of ownership, the buyer must provide timely and accurate information, or an unnecessary delay could occur. The domain name will then be pushed (transferred) into a Godaddy account in the buyers name. After assuming ownership of the domain name, the buyer can choose to transfer it to a different registrar if needed. Once the transfer is complete, the buyer has complete control of the domain name through their registrar account, and is solely responsible for maintaining annual registration fees. If the buyer were to allow the domain name registration to expire, the registrar will drop the domain name, which would allow anyone who wants to register it, to do so. Upon agreement, we is usually possible for us to facilitate a direct transfer to a different registrar. It should be understood that transferring the domain to a different registrar will delay the transfer, and that the receiving registrar will likely charge a domain transfer fee, which would be the responsibility of the buyer. No refunds are available on purchased domain names, although we will consider viable options to assist in extreme cases.
1. After agreement between buyer and seller, the buyer makes a PayPal payment in full. 2. The seller then initiates the transfer of the domain name to a buyer account at GoDaddy. 3. After the registrar transfers the domain, the buyer confirms the completion of the transfer.
TYPICAL PURCHASE AND TRANSFER VIA ESCROW If your domain name purchase is made through an escrow service, the escrow company will assist with both sides of the transfer process. Here are the customary steps in a transfer through an Escrow company: 1. After agreement between buyer and seller, the buyer transfers the payment to the escrow company. 2. The seller initiates the transfer of the domain name with the current registrar. 3. After the registrar transfers the domain, the buyer confirms the completion of the transfer. 4. When the transfer is verified by the escrow company, the payment is released to the seller.
